Emerging Technologies Shaping the Future of Business
Technology is all around us these days, and it’s hard to ignore its impact on various areas of our lives. Business is, without doubt, one of the fields that has benefited the most from recent technological advancements. In fact, many areas of business have seen significant growth in the last few decades primarily due to innovations like cloud computing, increased connectivity, and mobile devices. Despite these rapid changes, we are likely only seeing the so-called “tip of the iceberg.” As such, the panel brings together four U.S. and Czech thought leaders to discuss how these new technical innovations will change how businesses work, view the world, and where they invest. The panel will seek to give the audience concrete advice on how to deal with rapid change and, more importantly, prosper from it. |
Strategies for Success
Currently, there are over half a billion entrepreneurs in the world. These entrepreneurs generate most of the world's new jobs and wealth. In the United States alone, small businesses accounted for 63.3 percent of new jobs in the past few decades, and 80 percent of American billionaires were self-made. In the Czech Republic, some of the most notable, like world-class firms Linet and Avast, started during the first wave of Czech entrepreneurship after 1989’s Velvet Revolution. Entrepreneurship is a key component of creating a modern vibrant economy that creates many of the high-paying jobs of the future. This diverse panel of U.S. and Czech speakers will explore how to build and grow your business either in the United States or the Czech Republic, with a special focus on lessons-learned, financing, operations, and growth. |
Smarter Business Strategies for 2020 and Beyond
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is broadly defined as technology's ability to perceive, reason, learn and problem-solve – qualities more typically associated with human intelligence. For businesses, AI means, faster data analysis to allocate resources, streamlined supply chains, grater mobility, better customer service, and improved cyber security. According to a survey by a major U.S. consulting firm of over 1,000 North American business executives, 20 percent of organizations implemented AI enterprise-wide in 2019 to reap the benefits from these capabilities. While AI cannot replace everything and is not infallible, this panel of U.S. and Czech practitioners will discuss how AI can practically help businesses embrace the future by augmenting and improving how they work. |
