The idea for a U.S - Czech Business Forum was sparked more than three years ago. Since then, the world changed in significant ways. COVID caused the original date of the event to be scrapped as global business activities slowed and public gatherings were discouraged. We have also learned that the climate crisis is more pronounced than previously understood, energy prices have risen faster than a Space X rocket and supply chain disruptions have complicated business recovery. The recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia has added to business instability.
Under the banner, "A Climate of Opportunity," which we believe offers wide latitude for perspectives, we welcome your insights. The use of the words "climate" and "opportunity" are meant to signify a number of ideas. Climate, for example, can represent the uncertain business environment in which we are bound. Climate is also a clear reference to the global threat of rising carbon emissions.
Rather than being mired in the challenges that we face, the organizers of the Business Forum use the word opportunity to emphasize how our collaborative efforts and commercial endeavors can foster stability, prosperity and carbon neutral economic models. To that end, we aim to highlight business and technological innovation that advances our societies. We would be eager to hear your thoughts on how the U.S. and Czech business communities can strengthen their partnership and connects, how innovation has helped your organization and what role you see for innovative solutions moving forward, and how the U.S. and Czech governments can foster an environment that supports commercial activity and cares for the planet.
